Governor Waititu gifts Kiambu youths with 200 million Jijenge Fund

Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has launched the Kiambu County Jijenge Fund.

This is one of the flagship programmes of the Governor aimed at promoting and developing new and existing micro and small businesses among youth, women, people with special needs and the vulnerable men and women.

The fund has an initial kitty of KShs 200 million with the Governor promising to increase it with KShs 100 million every financial year.

“I would like to urge Kiambu youths to make use of sh 200 million that i have disbursed for growth,its a revolving fund which aims to empower vulnerable men and women,”he said.

Jijenge Fund is a revolving fund with no interest and it shall provide financing for LPOs, groups, and individuals. Those interested are requested to contact their area MCAs to get the application forms.

The project is similar to Biashara Fund that former governor William Kabogo had launched in 2015.
