With the current state of politics happening in the Country,the tension is building between groups supporting and opposing Ruto’s presidency 2022.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has on several occasions been pressured to announce whether he will support Ruto’s presidency or he is just plotting to sacrifice him by supporting Raila Odinga.
Deputy President William Ruto and his allies yesterday sustained scathing attacks on ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of using propaganda and politics of corruption to rock the Jubilee party.
“All these people who are now all over TV did not support Uhuru and Jubilee. But now they are giving us lectures on how we should work, fight corruption and run the government,” he said.
Ruto added that Raila and his team are venting anger on him over his 2022 presidential ambitions because they cannot attack the president, who is serving his second and final term in office.
Ruto said that the Kieleweke group led by Maina Kamanda is being used by dark forces to taint his name.
He urged Kamanda to retire from politics and enjoy the government sponsored money(pesa ya wazee)
He said that the Jubilee government will make it possible for old people to receive stipends.
“There are people who have teamed up with the “Vitendawili guy” and have joined a movement dubbed Stop Ruto to frustrate my ambitions but they should hold on their horses and wait for the best time to do politics – DP Ruto said.
Kamanda and a group of 18 MPs have been traversing churches mainly in mount Kenya castigating the DP of being corrupt.
