Nairobi governor Mike Sonko,Maina Kamanda face off over filthy CBD comment on facebook

Jubilee Member of parliament Maina Kamanda has hit governor Mike Sonko over what he terms as a negligence of the City that has turned into all sort of crime.

On a facebook post Kamanda urges Sonko to stop his PR theatrics and serve the Nairobians who elected him to power.

Kamanda noted that governor Sonko should wake up and smell the challenges that his electorates are facing.

“Streets are still dirty, hawkers being harassed, drainage pathetic and workers being fired left right like garbage”Kamanda said.

He noted that Nairobians needs service but not Pr theatrics.

In response governor sonko wondered why Kamanda has initiated fight against him.

“What is wrong with this old man Hon. Maina Kamanda whom I respect a lot. Is it bad to help other Kenyans when they’re in need? Anyway we are trying our best to ensure our streets are clean, we are doing around 9 markets which are over 80% complete including the multi stored mwariro hawkers market in kariakor near CBD putting in consideration,”Sonko said.

he noted that Nairobi is ranked as an international city and thus the county government must control hawkers from being all over the CBD.

he further said that he went to Turkana and West pokot for 3 days to stand with his brothers and sisters who are facing drought.

” It’s not my first time to stand with the needy and I will not stop it because of your dirty mouth and menopause politics which has been overtaken by events. Inaonekana wewe Mzee unazeeka vibaya respect others, respect your age the same way we respect you,”Sonko said.
