Exiled Controversial Lawyer Dr Miguna Miguna has slammed Siaya Senator James Orengo for his Deputy President William Ruto’s impeachment plan.
Speaking through his official twitter account, Miguna Miguna termed Orengo’s Ruto impeachment motion threat as a hoax meant to excite his key man the ODM leader Raila Odinga’s sycophants.
Miguna argues that the impeachment motion threat is aimed at convincing Raila’s followers into believing that ODM Party is really fighting corruption when in real sense it is deep into it.
He further argues that ODM knows how President Uhuru Kenyatta stole an election from them, but they have no ‘balls’ to face them out.
Orengo had said on Sunday they will unite with their counterparts in Jubilee Party to ensure Ruto is impeached.
Others were senators Ochillo Ayacko (Migori) and Cleophas Malala (Kakamega), Governor Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega) and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
The leaders spoke at Ralak, Ugenya, where they led campaigns for ODM candidate Chris Karan ahead of the April 5 by-election.
They said the DP can be removed from office if found to have violated the law.
“The DP can also be removed for gross misconduct. The threshold for the removal of Deputy President on constitutional grounds is much lower than going through a criminal trial or prosecution,” Orengo said.
He added, “After his removal, the President is allowed to appoint a new one with the approval of the National Assembly.”
Ayacko said it is criminal to bad mouth the DCI and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as the Deputy President has been doing.
