DP Ruto allies accuse Raila of mischief

A section of members associated to DP Ruto have come out to strongly condemn AU leader Raila Odinga for what they said was hiding behind the purported impeachment to take over the Deputy President position.

The 15 MPs on MPs who spoke at the Parliament Buildings were Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), Sylvanus Osore (South Mugirango), Purity Ngirici (Kirinyaga Woman rep), Cate Waruguru (Laikipia woman rep), Nixon Korir (Langata), Kipsengret Koros (Sigowet-Soin), Benjamin Mwangi (Embakasi Central) and Joyce Korir (Bomet MP).

Others were John Waluke (Sirisia), Mathias Robi (Kuria West), Gideon Keter (nominated), Caleb Kositany (Soi) and Jane Kiptoo (Elgeyo Marakwet woman rep).

According to Nyoro, “We know Raila has always wanted to gain power and because he cannot do it through the ballot, he wants to get power through the backdoor.”

They further said that there was no grounds to support Orengo’s motion and vowed to shoot it down once brought before the House.

The Kiharu MP said Raila was salivating for the DP seat.

Some Jubilee MPs are pushing for a Parliamentary Group meeting ahead of Uhuru’s State of the Nation address next Thursday.

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, a Ruto supporter, said the Jubilee Party was in flames and must be salvaged.
