Gor Mahia confirm Kisumu as venue for Kariobangi Sharks fixture

Gor Mahia will host KariobangI Sharks in Moi Stadium-Kisumu in the coming weekend this as confirmed by the club Treasurer Sally Bolo.

The team has taken a long time in hosting their games in Kisumu- a base prominent with their fans-and felt it was wise to give their faithful an opportunity to see their heroes after making it to the quarter-final of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Before the clash in Kisumu, the team who resumed training on Monday after the international break will be up against Zoo Kericho at the Kericho Green Stadium on Wednesday and might travel straight to Kisumu after the match.

“We will be in Kericho on Wednesday as scheduled and our plans are, we head straight to Kisumu after the match for our weekend’s fixture but we are yet to finalize on our logistics-whether to go Kisumu straight or on Friday,” Bolo is quoted by the club’s website.

On the Kisumu game, Bolo urged the fans to come out in large numbers to root for the team in their quest to retain the Kenyan Premier League Title.

“It’s been a while since Gor Mahia played in Kisumu and as an office, we have decided to take the match to the fans based around there. Let them come out in good numbers to support the team,” the Treasurer added.

Gor Mahia is currently placed third on the KPL log with 32 points; a point below leaders Sofapaka FC who have played three games more.
