Last week, while on an official visit in Mombasa, DP William Ruto claimed that Raila Odinga is a fake Engineer who is in the same category with fake Dr. Mugo wa Wairimu.
Since then, Raila’s academic credentials have become a hot topic on social media with elites digging to the bottom of the topic.
The latest to jump into this topic have been David Ndii and Miguna Miguna; arguably the most egoistic individuals in Kenya at the moment.
David Ndii revealed that Raila studied Manufacturing Engineering at the
Otto Von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany. He backed it up with the following tweet.
And actually, Raila’s name features on the university’s Wikipedia handle.

Raila is also included on the Engineers Board of Kenya website as a mechanical Engineer.
But Miguna Miguna has sharply disagreed with David Ndii and says the above college was not a university in the 1960s.
That was not an ACCREDITED university or technical institute in East Germany in the 1960s when Raila purportedly graduated from there. In addition, that school did not have an engineering faculty in the 1960s. Raila must come up with better lies.— Dr. Miguna Miguna (@MigunaMiguna) March 24, 2019
Miguna further goes ahead and says that he visited Raila’s village Polytechnic and confirmed that it didn’t give him a degree.

VERDICT! David Ndii has backed up his argument that Raila is an Engineer using with evidence, Miguna on the other hand argues without facts. Ndii wins this.
