Arsenal Still Adamant to Puke Ozil But These Two Critical Issues Sets Them Back

The gap between Arsenal Boss and Mesut Ozil is continuously widening as the boss woke up on Monday morning with a setback news to the star.

According to reports in today’s media, Emery is still determined to offload Mesut Ozil at the end of the season.

Ozil is no longer an automatic pick for the first team, he is played sparingly by manager Unai Emery and his high salary continues to hamper the clubs opportunities in the transfer market.

It really is simple, Ozil is the biggest earner at the Emirates by a long way, he is on £350,000 per week, a cool £170k ahead of the second highest paid player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and until the Gunners sell the former German international they are unable to compete competitively in the transfer market.

The problem is and always will be, who will take on a player on such a high salary? and it is almost certain that the playmaker will not accept a pay cut to move.

Another issue for Arsenal is that Ozil only signed a contract extension in January 2018 and so this is not an issue that could go on for years.

It would not be so bad if Ozil was a critical part of Emery’s plans, but he is not, he is seen as a luxury player and would not affect the team significantly if he is sold.
