Kenyan singer Akothee is loved and hated in equal measure and for the past few days, she has been trending for the wrong reasons.
But on Saturday, things changed, Akothee became a sensation to many netizens after she flagged off 2 lorries full of food stuffs to be donated to hunger-stricken Turkana residents, she even accompanied the caravan.
Through a Facebook post, the Musician shared photos of the flagging off event where she explained why she took the bold move to save Kenyans who are in the verge of death, “Turkana is beautiful county with the best tourist attraction places” she said
“Lodwar is the capital city of Turkana. We can’t ignore the fact that we always have needy families around us; even in your village – especially the elderly, women and children. So, we can’t just pass them (over) like that. Our food arrived this morning…” she added.
