The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday evening bust a drug trafficking gang that involved two University students.

In a tweet, the DCI said that they arrested two students Chris Odhiambo and Raymond Mwilo who are aged 22 and 20 years respectively.

The two students who were found in possession of narcotics will be arraigned in court on Monday.

Two university students were arrested today evening after being found in possession of Narcotic drugs. The two; Mr. Chris Duma Odhiambo, 22 years & Mr. Raymond Mwilo, 20 years were nabbed after a bus stop. The suspects are in police custody & will be arraigned in court on Monday,” said the DCI.

The arrest comes barely 24 hours after the Anti-Narcotics Detectives in Mombasa arrested a 47 year-old man with heroin.

According to the detectives, Abdul Majid Msallam Timami was arrested following a tip-off that saw them seize the powder believed to be heroin after a thorough search.

He will also be arraigned in court on Monday.

Yesterday, Anti-Narcotics Detectives based in Mombasa- acting on a tip off-intercepted a vehicle & after a thorough search recovered a white powdery substance believed to be #Heroin.
