Tanzanian Bongo flavour artist Baraka the Prince has weighed in the Bhang Legalization bill in Kenya.

The artist was speaking on Mambo Mseto when he was asked to give his remarks concerning Octopizzo’s stand on the same debate.

Baraka says that someone would support something with the knowledge of its benefits or simply because they have experience in using it and have a first hand report on how it is useful.

For this reason, he held back from criticizing Kenyan artist Octopizzo but simply gave his thought.

Baraka the prince says that he cannot support bhang legalization because he has seen the bad effects that result from its use.

He also added that although he is not a user, he has seen how others have been affected by it and he cannot support it’s legalization.

‘Sijawai kutumia, sijui faida yake ni nini lakini nasikia hasara yake, watu wanachizi…kwa mimi, kwasababu nimesikia na kushuhudia madhara yake, siwezi kusupport” he said

A couple days ago, Kenyan rapper Octopizzo said he does not see anything wrong with bhang usage as long as it’s use is regulated.

Speaking to Mseto East Africa, the Singer says that bhang can be consumed in tea and in food for it’s medicinal value.

Octopizzo says that he is advocating for bhang legalization because it can also provide opportunities for people to do business.

He also revealed that selling bhang was his first job in the streets and although he never used to smoke, he used to earn from that job.

The Singer says that he fully supports the bill which was brought to parliament by the MP of his area MP Ken Okoth and he urged fans to show their support as well.

Octopizzo also insisted that it is important for people to educate themselves on the benefits and equally get to know of the side effects.
