Why Moses Kuria didn’t accompany Ruto to Mandera but opted to join Raila in Wajir

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria today opted to accompany former prime minister Raila Odinga to Wajir to show support to Wajir Women rep hon Gedi as she launched community based programmes to boost locals way of life.

On his facebook page, Kuria posted “En route to Wajir to support my sister Hon Fatuma Gedi in various empowerment activities. Hon Raila Odinga and Governor Ali Hassan Joho will be joining me,”

ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohamed was among leaders who accompanied Raila and Kuria.

Deputy president William Ruto was Mandera to flag off the distribution of relief food and water to residents.

The government intervention comes days after the DP denied reports of deaths in Turkana and Baringo counties over the prevailing drought situation.

Addressing the residents on Saturday, Ruto stated, “The foundation of our progress and future lie in promoting a peaceful environment for development.

“The vegetation situation, body condition of livestock and availability of food in the country acts as an indicator on when to carry out the intervention,” Ruto stated.
