Manchester United fans are furious right now with the club’s authorities after reports emerged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to lose one of his most trusted stalwarts to French champions Paris Saint Germain.
According to Manchester Evening News, Ander Herrera could be set to leave the club for free, a move that has not gone well with the club faithfuls.
The Spanish midfielder is out of contract at the end of the current season and fresh reports this week suggest Herrera has emerged as a top transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.
A report from Spanish outlet Marca even suggests the popular midfielder is ‘close to agreeing terms’ over a move to the French capital, something which fans are dreading.
Not only has Herrera been a consistent performer under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, but many fans believe the 29-year-old would even be a worthy captain of the club.

Would be typical of United to get Jones, Smalling, Young on new contract and fuck up Herrera’s so he can leave for free in May……On field he’s been the most symbolic player on this great run under Ole and we’ve let this happen. Not only does the prospect of him leaving for free frustrate supporters, but the fact he would be joining a new European rival has only made matters worse.

The Sun claim PSG have already entered talks with the midfielder and are expected to sign him in the summer on a £150,000-a-week deal.
Herrera leaving is a shambles given we already needed one top CM, now we need two. That’s going to eat into a ridiculous amount of budget that’s needing to be thrown on defenders and a RW. This isn’t going to end well.27610:24 AM – Mar 22, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacy83 people are talking about this
The 29-year-old has been a pivotal part of United’s turnaround in fortunes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but now appears ready to leave the club for the French capital.
United had made some progress in talks over extending his stay at the club but the lure of a mega-money three-year deal at PSG has proved too much for Herrera to ignore.

Solskjaer still retains some hope he may be able to persuade Herrera to stay with the United boss making it one of his priorities over the coming months. Losing him would be a huge blow for United, who have played him regularly this season.
He is currently out injured but is expected to return to fitness from a hip injury after the international break to be in contention for their match with Watford. PSG have been on the hunt for a midfielder after seeing their move for Everton’s Idrissa Gueye rebuffed in the January transfer window.
