President Uhuru who is on an official visit to Namibia has told off those linking the war on corruption to certain communities to brace themselves for tough times ahead.
Politicians allied to DP Ruto better start packing and quit Jubilee as they had earlier threatened according to president Uhuru’s latest sentiment on the war on corruption.
President Uhuru who is on an official visit to the south African nation of Namibia has assured Kenyans in the diaspora that the crackdown on graft will continue and that every effort will be made to bring back integrity to the public service.
Politicians from Ruto’s backyard led by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi had alleged that the cake eating ceremony witnessed a few years ago had turned to a mourning party as there was nothing to celebrate in the Jubilee party.
“You cannot hide behind the handshake and fight against graft when we know that the agenda is to fight Ruto politically. Uhuru should come out and tell us he is tired with his deputy and we will call it a day,” said Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen in a past function.
The president further said that those found corrupt will be fought without mercy and no one will be spared no matter their position.
“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you. I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity.” President Uhuru said.
Uhuru was addressing Kenyans in the diaspora where he further said that Kenya has great potential but there is need to change practices that hinder the country from achieving progress.
Kenyans living in the diaspora have also being assured that the government is working on mechanisms that will issue them with the new generation passports in the countries of their residence.
