Office of The President clears on Uhuru’s hacked account while in Namibia

Accounts belonging to the Kenyan president could no longer be reached on Friday morning, with the URL redirecting to a ‘Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!’ notice.

Uhuru has been actively using the social media platform to promote his big four Agenda and communicate to Kenyans.

The President had been on official visit to the south African nation , Namibia, had used the account in the early hours to brief Kenyans after meeting with diaspora citizen.

According to Chief of Staff in the Office of the President Nzioka Waita, the account was suspended after they detected an unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta.

The accounts will be back after necessary measures.

This comes shortly after a tweet on the president’s Twitter handle read: “If you are corrupt, we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally, but if you are corrupt we will fight you.”
In another tweet Mr Waita adds: “It seems the president’s stand on corruption has generated all manner of reactions>’

The President was accompanied by a number of cabinet secretaries including Monica Juma (Foreign Affairs), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Agriculture), James Macharia (Transport) and Peter Munya (Trade).

President Kenyatta also touched on the war on corruption, reiterating that his administration is committed to ensuring graft is thwarted in Kenya.
