He’s incredible, I enjoyed playing with him, Bale opens up on his relationship with CR7

The future of Wales striker Gareth Bale at Spanish giants, Real Madrid remains unclear considering his recent form of play and the coming back to the club of Zinedine Zidane who they are said not to meet eye to eye.

He says that there is no bad blood between him and former goal scorer Christiano Robnaldo who has since moved to Italy’s side, Juventus.

Gareth Bale insists he never had a problem with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid .The pair were said to have a grumpy relationship during Ronaldo’s time at the Bernabeu before his summer move to Juventus .

Bale has endured a frustrating campaign since the Portuguese superstar’s exit and has now been tipped to head out of the Bernabeu this summer.

He has opened up on his tenure with the Spanish giants and in particular his relationship with Ronaldo.

“Cristiano is an incredible player, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with him,” he said on BT Sport’s What I Wore.

“He’s an incredible player and what he did for the club with the amount of goals he scored. An incredible player and he is still going now.”

Bale also opened up on his switch from Tottenham to the Bernabeu for a world-record fee in 2013.

“I appreciated everything Tottenham had done for me but I think they did understand at the time that when such a big club comes in for you like Real Madrid it is difficult to turn them down,” Bale added.

“Even though I was enjoying my time at Tottenham, loved the club and I still do, to have Real Madrid come for you, you’ll regret saying no.”

Bale’s future beyond this season remains unclear following Zinedine Zidane’s return to the Bernabeu.

The Welshman looked set to leave in the summer after a bust-up with the Frenchman before he resigned after the Champions League success.
