The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti is expected to arrest the big fish as the fight to end the graft gains momentum amid jitters from different quarters as detectives nears conclusion a number of cases involving loss of public resources.
Despite meeting resistance from communities that feel they are being targeted in the war against graft, Kinoti has maintained that he will continue with the probes without any fear or favour.
On Thursday, Kinoti assured the National Assembly Committee on Administration and National Security that the days of corrupt individuals in the nation are numbered.
He said that he will soon be forwarding files of all corrupt individuals to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Kinoti, however, did not reveal how long the process is going to take.
He also revealed that the alleged Sh.21 billion lost in the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal was transferred to Italy before it was wired back into the country.
He noted that Barclays Bank was involved in the process after the persons behind the embattled firm sought loans from the financial institution.
He also said that the corrupt individuals duped the bank to take part in the deal.
He further emphasized that his office will not listen to complaints from communities that feel targeted in the war against the vice.
