“Can he also Deactivate his Presidency,” Kenyans unleash their disapproval of President Uhuru amid deactivation of his social media

Kenyans have come out to suggest other things President Uhuru Kenyatta should deactivate after his official social media pages were pulled down.

The netizens felt that there were other urgent matters that the president should have addressed instead of his compromised Twitter and Facebook account.

“You don’t suspend unauthorized access to public funds lakinimnasuspend (but you can suspend) Twitter account. See your priorities,” commented Lynda Marcia.

Another user, Kimaru, asked the president to decactivate and delete the whole government.

Wacha tujigovern from Youtube kama Julius Yego (We can run the country using YouTube tutorials like Julius Yego),” he added.

“Can he also deactivate his presidency and call for another election please,” suggested Bruce.

Some netizens also had suspicions that the deactivation of the social media pages had something to do with his tweet about fighting corruption.

“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally, but if you are corrupt we will fight you. I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” Uhuru had asserted while in Namibia.

Simon Kuria hinted that the breach may have been corruption fighting back, commenting that, “Corrupt brothers, sisters and political allies have fought back on the tweet.”

Charles Ombongi was of the opinion that Uhuru was fearful of the same people he had put on notice for corruption.

Kwani the president is fearing yule mtu, (Is the president in fear)? I thought he had delivered the message right to the home of corruption, anyway we got the message…kapambanesasa(deal with it now),” he advised.

One particular user put into perspective that if Uhuru’s accounts were not safe, what about the personal data the government was collecting in the National Integrated Information Management System (NIIMS)?
