‘Apana tambua’ President Kenyatta vows no one to be spared against graft war

President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again fired a warning shot against graft suspects and retaliated his determination to sweep corruption in the country.

The Head of State said not even his close relatives or political allies will deter him from achieving his goal of leaving behind a united nation.

In Friday, March 22, morning Twitter post, Uhuru said he is ready to fight his own sisters or brothers as long as they are corrupt.

“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you. I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” said Uhuru.

Notably, it’s not the first time the Head of State has threatened to take stern action against perpetrators of corruption.

On several occasions he has threatened of stern action against graft suspects but very little has been achieved with a section of Kenyans seeing him as toothless dog only good in issuing statements.

Among other corruption scandals that have marred his administration include the recent dams scandal in which over KSh 21 billion is reported to have been swindled by senior government officials.

Already, the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has received investigation files from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti and is set to start court proceedings against the suspects.
