A cry of desire has finally been heard by the attorney General Paul Kihara who on Friday donated a TV set to prisoners of Hindi Prison in response to a request they had made.
The inmates had requested for the media device so as to keep informed and entertained during their free time, a request the AG obliged to.
This visit to the prison was part of the Lamu Service Week organised by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
As part of a multi-agency team comprising of state and non-state actors, AG Kihara took up public concerns raised during the Community Dialogue at Mpeketoni.
The forums were set to provide residents a platform to discuss with relevant national government agencies for amicable solutions.
