Chelsea fans are taking their revolt against Maurizio Sarri to another level with a large number of season ticket holders opting out of the upcoming Premier League matches by putting their tickets up for sale.
Stamford Bridge is now experiencing a gloomy atmosphere with empty seats as seen in the last home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The situation is expected to worsen as more unoccupied seats are expected when the Premier League resumes after the international break.
The situation puts Sarri’s managerial position in jeopardy as the ‘power of empty seats’, which has seen managers quit or get sacked starts to manifest at the Bridge.
According to British local publications, other 700 fans have been selling tickets for the match against Burnley that is scheduled to play on April 22. There are other supporters who haven’t put their tickets up for sale but do not plan to attend the upcoming fixtures.
The number of fans running away from their once beloved club is now worrying as some of them put their seats up for sale 12 hours after Chelsea announced that the rescheduled fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion will be played on April 3.
The London outfit lost 2-0 to Everton on Sunday denting their Champions League hopes with eight games to play.
The Blues still have opportunities to salvage their pride including the Europa League quarter-final tie against Slavia Prague but the fans opting out suggests

After getting frustrated with their complaints always falling on deaf ears, they decided to stay away from home matches, a language which sunk well in the heads of the Arsenal management.
