‘Guns drawn’ as King Kaka- Willy Paul beef escalates

Bad blood is brewing in the Kenyan music industry after King Kaka’s new song vindicated controversial ‘gospel’ musician Willy Paul whose response came hot on the heels of the slur.

name-dropped Willy Paul

Speaking to Mzazi Willy Tuva, King Kaka clarified that he name-dropped Willy Paul in his new track East Kwa Mabeast as an artistic complement and not signs of bubbling beef as alleged.

In East Kwa Mabeast King Kaka raps that, “Jiulize mbona pastor haendi kuperform miracles kwa hospitals, sikuhizi ata church iko na madingo na gospel iko na Willy Paul.”

The rapper explained that the meaning derived from his wordplay was tied to how one understood it.

So kwa vile wewe umeielewa wewe uichukue hivo yaani ina maana tofauti so we utailewa hio nimekuwachia,” said King Kaka.

But when asked by Tuva what his thoughts are on King Kaka’s move, Willy Paul did not mince his words.

“If kama jina langu linazaidia watu kulipa rent…bills then, I mean, if inazaidia mimi sina ubaya…Mimi ni mtu ambaye nina huruma na nina understand watu,” said Willy Paul.
