Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson says he’s received advice from the club’s academy director Per Mertesacker after Hoffenheim dropped him for disciplinary reasons.
After promising start to his loan spell at Hoffenheim, the 19-year-old forward has yet to find the net in 2019.
“I’m learning different culture. I’m taking in the environment,” Nelson said.
“Per’s just been very direct to me, telling me it’s not always about football sometimes it’s about off the pitch.
“He tells me ‘you’re learning a new language, new environment, just keep up with your performances.”
