Fantastic facts about Mzee Kenyatta Mzungu Woman

Kenya’s first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta had four wives wives, Grace Wahu, Edna Clarke, Grace Wanjiku and Mama Ngina. His children included President Uhuru Kenyatta, by his fourth and youngest wife, Ngina.

Unknown to many especially millennial the Founding president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta had a white (Mzungu) Woman by the name Edna Grace Clarke.

Kenyatta married Edna Grace in 1942 while he was living in Britain.

Kenyatta worked part-time at the tomato hothouse section of AG Linfield & Sons company, in between giving lectures at the Workers Education Centre, where he met Edna, a fellow teacher.

Their marriage was solemnised at the Chanctonbury Registry Office in Sussex and the couple had one son,Peter Magana.

Kenyatta left his young family abroad when he came back in 1946 but kept constant communication through letters. Edna died in 1995, aged 86.

Peter Magana Kenyatta, who was once a presenter at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), lives in London. Not much is known about Magana whose presence in Kenya has been fleeting.
