Manchester United fans criticize Barcelona for hiking tickets

Manchester United were pooled against Spanish giants Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League in the quarter final which many think is the end of the club in the competitions.

As though that is not enough and to their amazement, the club has capped their tickets for the fans which has not sank well with them.

Manchester United fans have slammed Barcelona for the decision to charge £102 per ticket for the Champions League quarter final game at the Nou Camp.

The La Liga side hiked prices to over £100 for the game in Spain on April 16 and United fans have criticised the decision by the Spanish club to cash in on the occassion.

United have been given 4,600 tickets for the second leg of the quarter final and the club have decided to subsidise each ticket by £27 as they deemed the price set by Barcelona as ‘excessive.’

Currently there is no cap on away ticket prices in the Champions League and Europa League, unlike in the Premier League where it is set to £30, and fans have called for it to be introduced to stop situations like this happening in the future.
