Is Supreme Court Judge Jackton Ojwang going down the drain?
Recent happenings have seen the Judge come under great criticisms over his code of conduct with the Judicial Service Commission now on his neck over some grave mistakes he has committed during his long career in the Kenyan Judicial System.
The Judicial Service commission through Chief Justice David Maraga is now setting the stage for the removal of Justice Ojwang as a judge of the Supreme Court.
JSC has revealed that Ojwang involved in gross misconduct in a case involving Migori Governor Okoth Obado among other cases.
Tuesday saw Ojwang decline to appear before the JSC to respond to a number of allegations against him.
He is accused of among other things, being bribed by different parties to give favorable judgements.
Justice Ojwang is accused of authoring a judgment with respect to the Sony Sugar belt and in return, he was rewarded by Migori County Governor Okoth Obado, who built a road to his private residence on the outskirts of Migori town.
Before becoming governor, Obado served as chairman of the Kenya Sugar Board.
