Pogba calls on Man Utd to give Solskjaer what he ‘deserves’

Paul Pogba Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United

Paul Pogba wants Manchester United to reward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a permanent deal following his success as caretaker manager.

Since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December the Red Devils have given themselves a chance of a top-four finish in the Premier League, while they are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

A number of players have been revitalised under Solskjaer, including Pogba, who has bagged nine goals and provided seven assists in 17 matches.

And the France international would love for the Norwegian to get the job on a permanent basis.

“Of course we want him to stay,” Pogba said of Solskjaer, speaking to Sky Sports. “The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

“When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club.

“He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

“This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results that we had before.”
