A close ally to Deputy President William Ruto and Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has silenced the DP and his allies as he urged the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti to ignore the ongoing political concerns about his operations.

A section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto accused Kinoti of bias in the ongoing war against graft, with the DP on Sunday urging him to leave the job to the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC).

However, in an interview on Tuesday, the MP urged Kinoti to ignore the political interruptions and carry on with his work, pointing out that at no point will politicians keep off the issue.

He said that the same should be adopted by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji who had also found himself in wrangles with the group.

“Let the ignore the politics emanating from the political class and concentrate on their job. Politicians are politicians and are in office and get a salary to politics,” he advised.

The MP was speaking on Radio Maisha‘s Bunge La Maisha on Tuesday morning.

However, he partly supported his Rift Valley colleagues who and Ruto, urging Kinoti to not hesitate to request for the support of the Bishop Eliud Wabukhala-led commission.

“He should only handle what he can and leave what he can’t to the EACC. A good example is the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal which appear too complex for his office,” he added.
