Antony Kimani makes assurances to AFC Leopards fans following his appointment as assistant coach

Shortly after his appointment as the new AFC Leopards assistant coach, Antony Kimani has promised the fans that he will immediately work on improving the players mentality.

AFC Leopards are currently having a very troubled season and currently sit at 16th on the log with 16 points, just four points better than bottom f the table Mount Kenya United. The 30 year old who played for the Leopards between 2013 to 2015 has however assured the fans that the tides will soon change and he will be at the fore front of it all.

“I have been preparing for this opportunity since I quit playing a couple of years ago,” he said.

“There is some work to be done. We have experienced a not so impressive season and now the new coach has come in and has done a good job to steady the ship. My aim would be to instil a fighting spirit in the squad. The players have to learn to die for this team the way we used to,” Kimani said.

He is a CAF ‘B’ coaching license holder, and certified as a personal trainer by the American Council and exercise.
