Esther Akoth, famously known as Akothee in an Instagram video said the idea about the Turkana tragedy reached him through her fans comments as she has been out of the country lately and she does not watch the news.
The images that have been circulating on social media of Kenyans suffering due to famine caught the attention of the self-proclaimed ‘Madam boss’.
She was touched and decided to come up with his own Pay bill to help the Turkana and said she will personally go to Turkana during the weekend to deliver what she will have collected by then.
“I will contribute financially, go there and give them food in person, engage my friends to help save a family, the help we shall have contributed as AKOTHEEFANS, we will also need sanitary towels as well, I believe girls are also among the affected,” reads part of her Instagram statement.
The MPesa Paybill number is 891300 and account number is 31693 and she asked her fans and Kenyans of good will to help contribute anything they have to save a life.
