Conor McGregor explains who the next Manchester United manager should be

Manchester United supporter and UFC star Conor McGregor has explained who he thinks should be the club’s next manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mauricio Pochettino are the leading candidates for the job with United seemingly set to choose in the summer.

Following a slight wobble, with two consecutive defeats, Solskjaer’s reaction could make or break his application for the job.

The Irish fighter believes that the Red Devils have to give the job to Solskjaer following his impressive reign as interim.

McGregor has been very impressed with the job which the Norweign has done and his management of the club’s best players.

McGregor told FIFA.com:

“Ole Gunnar is a special man! I think he’s done an incredible job with United.

“They have to give him the job permanently.

“You can feel the pride and passion he has for the club and its history, and see the players honoured to wear the Red Devils crest under him.

“He’s really got the players performing.

“Ole’s at the wheel, tell me how good does it feel!

“Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have been particularly outstanding under him.

“They are young, confident and fearless athletes who believe in their abilities.

“Look at how Rashford, at 21 years old and having never taken a penalty, after a long delay and with the weight of the world on his shoulders, stepped up and scored against PSG.”
