Beneficiaries of the Inua Jamii Program across the country receive their payments

The ministry of labour and social protection has today confirmed ongoing payments of Inua Jamii in all 47 Counties.

The payments started in earnest across the country since Monday morning.

The programme targets to pay 1,030,822 beneficiaries who have been receiving cash transfer stipends.

Inua Jamii fund  focuses on beneficiaries who include: the elderly persons over 65 years old, the disabled persons in the society, the OVCS (Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Kenya) and the extremely poor people.

The payments amounts to Kshs. 12,000 per beneficiary this being an accumulation for the last three cycles – September-October 2018, November-December, 2018 and January-February, 2019.

All transactions are authenticated biometrically by the beneficiary or selected caregiver(s)

This program is key considering that many Kenyans are benefiting from it and through this fund, the living standards of Kenyans has been upgraded.
