Nine Men! No coach! No problem for Gor Mahia! That is how I would summarize the historic moment at Kasarani on Sunday.
It was a match that Gor were supposed to win. Because winning would guarantee them a spot in the quarter finals of the CAF CC, and a financial boost of sh 37 million.
But they had to do it with nine men, as first Ernest Wendo was shown a straight red card for a stupid high boot and then Batambuze walked in the 75th minute after two bookable offences.
Gor had taken the lead through man of the moment, Jacques Tuyisenge and they had to defend in numbers to seal the win.
Inexperienced goalkeeper Peter Odhiambo was arguably the man of the match as he saved everything thrown at him by the Angolans.
This was the most nervy match for the Kogalo faithful and it was shown at full time when they stormed the field to celebrate the historic win.
Even Nairobi MP Rachel Shebesh Congratulated the mighty husband of teams.

It is not everyday that we see a football team congratulate their rivals, but this one from Ulinzi was just classic.
Gor fans have now taken over the Internet and are now arrogantly calling themselves husband of teams.
Mathare United will hope Gor Mahia advances in CAF, so they (Mathare) can win the league.
