President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday met Russian envoy Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov at State House in Nairobi.
The President revealed that the envoy presented him a special message from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He, however, did not disclose the details of the message.
“Today I received a special message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, delivered by the Russian Federation’s Deputy Foreign Minister and the Russian President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov,” he said.
The meeting between the two leaders come after he hosted French President Emmanuel Macron.
Uhuru and Macron agreed to strengthen their ties for the sake of economic development.
“It was great to hold talks with H.E. President EmmanuelMacron at State House, Nairobi. Our talks reflected on the strong relations between Kenya and France, as we pursue to bolster the existing ties between our two nations and people,“ he said.
Uhuru also unveiled Peugeot 3008 alongside the French President.
“I am pleased to have been joined by my friend H.E. President Emmanuel Macron of France in unveiling the Peugeot 3008 at State House, Nairobi. I am impressed with the progress PSA Groupe has made in delivering locally assembled vehicles in our country,” he said in another tweet.
