Police drop charges against driver carrying luggage after public uproar

Police have reportedly dropped charges against a driver who was arrested for carrying luggage after public uproar.

Joseph Ndunda got a call from Police Spokesperson office and directed to get cash bail from Jogoo Police Station Commander.

The police also informed him that he had no case to answer. A matter that a section of Kenyans do not want to take lightly.

Kenyans have suggested that the police should be fined for wasting people’s time so that they stop misusing their power.

They also feel that this man deserves to be compensated for his time in addition to returning his cash bail.

Joseph Ndunda had been arrested over the charges of contravening the use of insurance.

Kenyans however raised their voice saying that there was nothing wrong with a driver carrying luggage and the arrest was uncalled for.
