Babu Owino strengthens efforts to end youth unemployment in his constituency

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has assured of his efforts to the end youth unemployment in his constituency .

The Member of parliament mentioned that there are many challenges facing the youth in Embakasi east including unemployment, school fees, police brutality, inequality among others.

As an MP, Babu Owino says that he walked into so many offices, begged directors and talked to many CEOs and as a result, there are so many organizations that offered solutions to the challenges facing the youth.

Speaking on solutions in line to dealing with the unemployment challenge, Babu Owino mentioned that Cocacola provided 51 jobs KEMSA offered jobs and Kenya Airports Authority also offered 17 spaces.

During the campaign period in last year’s general elections, he vowed to the people of Embakasi East that he would prioritize youth employment in his agenda as a Member of parliament.

The statistics of youth unemployment is still high and Kenyans are fighting to ensure that they hustle to earn a living.

Babu Owino also reiterated that he will not tire in his efforts to improve the lives pf people who voted for him and he asked for their support in making the vision a reality.

MY PLANS FOR YOU IN EMBAKASI EAST (PART ONE) The year 2019 started with renewed hope and promise for prosperity. The nation is at peace with itself in the post-handshake era, and there is prevailing political unity. Moreover, the fight against corruption has gained momentum and Kenyans can see for themselves the vigor with which graft is being fought by our President Uhuru Kenyatta and H. E Raila Odinga. On my part, three months into the year, I wish to take full advantage of the prevailing environment of political goodwill to deliver maximum returns to my constituents in Embakasi East. You elected me to deliver and deliver I shall! WATER -Piping is currently being done in the whole constituency and a water reservoir has been constructed at Garrison Baracks.Water challenges will soon be history in the constituency -Sinking of boreholes will be commenced soon in different primary schools. HEALTH In the past year, we partnered with KEMSA and other private healthcare providers to deliver free care to residents of Embakasi East. Our medical camps treated upwards of 15,000 residents both in utawala ward and tassia slums and we look forward to more of the same this year. ROADS In 2018, I worked closely with the Directors General of KURA and KERRA to completely revamp the road network in Embakasi East. In the coming days, I have lined up further roadworks covering the following areas: -Benedicta to Kinka in utawala(ongoing) -Gate B to Kwandege in Embakasi(ongoing) -St. Michael’s Road in Mihango(ongoing) -Stage 75 to Jacaranda (covering both Embakasi and Lower Savannah,ongoing) -Fedha Stage to Nyayo Gate B in Embakasi -Road leading to vumilia slums in upper savanna ward(Done) -Road from Tassia stage through tassia Catholic to Kwa ndege(done) -manyanja road(done) -Road Passing through Harambee Sacco in upper savanna ward(done) -Hurlinghum road in Chokaa mihang’o(done) -New Donholm road(done) -Feeder roads in utawala ward(done) -Feeder roads in mihang’o ward(done) -we have so far constructed a total of 18 roads in the constituency (...Continued in the next post)
