Orengo mercilessly slaps DP Ruto on the face with disrespectful remarks

Siaya Senator James Orengo has kicked off another war of words with Deputy President William Ruto after mercilessly attacking him on Saturday.

Speaking in Siaya, the lawmaker took issue with the DP’s unending attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga, warning him to keep off.

He added that Ruto’s apparent disrespect to the former Prime Minister is a demonstration that he as well disrespects President Uhuru Kenyatta as the two are working together.

“Ruto should keep off Raila. His careless attacks on Raila are an insult. It shows total disrespect both to Raila and the President,” he was quoted by the Standard.

The remarks come at a time when Ruto and Rails have been locked in a verbal exchange which now seems to be attracting their allies, each side protecting its boss.

Orengo as well bashed Ruto over his allegations that Raila is out to destroy the ruling Jubilee Party and is working on killing it before the 2022 general elections.

He wondered why the DP is so uncomfortable with Raila yet the Head of State with whom they reconciled with early last year has not raised any such concerns, telling him to be calm.

“Ruto should not talk about Jubilee because he is not the party leader. The party leader is President Kenyatta,” he added, at a time when Ruto has vowed to scuttle Raila’s plan.
