Kenyans are on Deputy President Ruto’s case after he launched an IT Resource centre with outdated computers
The DP had visited Sambirir Girls Secondary school in Marakwet East constituency to open the facility.
The photo showed the Ruto who was accompanied by the school’s officials inspecting a computer lab with very old machines.
Netizens were angry that Ksh18 million had been used yet the computers were not up to date.
“Why did u buy CRT monitors in the age of TFTs? These computers I bet are Pentium 3 at least. Where did you collect them?” wondered Vincent Wangosho
A section of netizens stated that Ruto had launched a computer museum instead of an ICT centre
“Ruto is touching the computer with the tips of his fingers because they are too dusty for his liking. The computer is also without a keyboard someone must have stolen it,” observed John Mautta.
