The War of words between Deputy President William Ruto and opposition Chief Raila Odinga continues to draw mixed reactions among Kenyans and various political leaders.
DP Ruto has time and again accused Raila of being a seasoned liar who thrives on creating tension and confusion among his Political rivals to gain political mileage.
Recently, Ruto has claimed that Raila is out to destroy Jubilee just like he did with KANU.
This week also saw Ruto take on Odinga head on for his decision through the ODM Party to expell Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Raila Odinga on the other hand has accused Ruto of derailing the war on corruption by fighting Independent agencies tasked with dealing with the vice.
With the war of words between these two escalating, their loyalists have time and again defended them with Ruto’s Kalenjin pointmen led by Oscar Sudi and Kipchumba Murkomen coming to his aid.
Raila’s lieutenants too have not been left behind as they have viciously defended the opposition Chief from Ruto’s Venom.
The latest to come to Raila’s defence is Embakasi East MP Babu Owino. According to the vocal MP, DP William Ruto is a depressed man obsessed with Raila Odinga.
Babu has claimed that Ruto’s obsession with Raila Odinga is understandable.
He has said that Ruto can no longer order investigative agencies around like he used to do before and as such has resorted to try and arm-twist them by making reckless and unnecessary statements in Public gatherings.
“DP Ruto is a very depressed man. Ruto’s obsession with Raila Odinga is understandable. Those days when he could order DCI and EACC from Sugoi via phone calls are long gone and now he has to try and arm twist these institutions by heckling in public rallies & funerals,” said Babu Owino.
Babu’s latest claims come even as DP Ruto continues his assualt on the DCI by claiming that it does not know it’s work.
His ally Kipchumba Murkomen has also asked that DCI boss George Kinoti is sacked for allegedly being biased.
