Chelsea were able to deliver a home blow on Dynamo Kiev at NYC Olympic Stadium on Thursday in the Uefa Europa League.
Chelsea scored five goals with Olivier Giroud scoring a hat trick and the dou of Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring one goal each.
The Blues had also won the first leg of the match at Stamford Bridge with three goals, making it a total of 8 goals and they conceded none.
However, following the match vs Dynamo, Maurizio Sarri had gone ahead to applaud Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek as he declared that he would become one of the best midfield players in Europe.
Sarri disclosed that Loftus-Cheek has improved despite having just return from injury.
“Yes, he’s improving,” Sarri said.
“And the most important thing, in my opinion, is he is improving in a very difficult season. He had problems two or three times in the same season. Now, fortunately, he’s able to train with continuity and consistency, so he’s improved a lot in the last month.
“He played a very important match today, and I am really very happy because he was able to play for 90 minutes, and that’s very important for him.”
