Angry Manchester United fans slam one player after loss

Romero was beaten twice at Molineux as Wolves won 2-1 with the Argentinian only used in cup matches.

David de Gea is United’s No 1 in the Premier League, though sits out for the domestic competitions.

Romero arguably could have done better with both Wolves goals, scored by Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.

And Manchester United fans believe that their side would have won the game had De Gea been in goal.

One posted on social media: “As good as Romero is if De Gea plays tonight we win 1-0”.

Another added: “We are all entitled to an opinion, my opinion is Romero is s**** and De Gea saves both!”

While a third commented: “I rate Romero but I think de gea saves both their goals.”

And one other United fan wrote: “Romero should have saved both of the goals. De Gea would save both.”

De Gea is at United until the end of next season, with the club having recently triggered a one-year extension.

But speculation surrounding the Spaniard’s future remains with reports suggesting he wants a pay rise.

Currently earning £240,000 a week, De Gea believes he should be rewarded a deal worth double that total, rivalling the pay package of team-mate Alexis Sanchez.

United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants De Gea to stay, and expressed as much soon after taking over as manager.
