Revealed:Biblical Cain’s Imprint found in Murang’a

The biblical Cain, who killed his brother Abel, once visited Murang’a County if residents of Gaturi Village are to be believed.

An engrave shape of a trouser and belt on a rock in Gaturi, Murang’a County  believed by locals to be items the Biblical Cain left behind after a shower on a nearby river.

Folklore passed down through generations purports that the son of Adam and Eve rested on the rock near Ndurumo river after bathing but he forgot to wear the pair of trousers, shoes, and belt he had left to dry.

Residents say the imprint has been there for decades and now they are calling on the County government to preserve the place which attracted tourists in the 1990s but has since lost its appeal.

“Our ancestors told us he forgot them there and after staying uncollected for decades they formed the imprint on the rock,” claims Paul Kuria a resident.
