Who Liverpool, Spurs & the Manchester clubs will face if they advance to the CL semi-finals

This morning’s Champions League quarter-final draw has seen confirmation of who each side will face, if they advance to the competition’s final-4, also revealed.

Man United vs Barcelona, Man City vs Tottenham
The draw for the final-8 of European football’s premiere club competition was held moments ago.

Ahead of the ceremony, the remaining clubs in the Champions League consisted of 4 English outfits, in the form of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham, along with one side from each of Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal, in Juventus, Barcelona, Ajax and Porto respectively.

Pep Guardiola’s City had been labelled as bookies’ favourites heading into the quarter-finals, on the back of their stunning 10-2 aggregate victory over Schalke in the tournament’s last-16.

Ajax and Porto, meanwhile, stood as heavy outsiders to clinch European glory.

As such, the draw being made official a short time ago saw Juventus and Liverpool fans no doubt delighted, after the European giants were pitted against Ajax and Porto respectively.

The sole all-Premier League tie of the round, meanwhile, will see Manchester City take on Tottenham.

As such, Manchester United have been tasked with overcoming the might of La Liga champions Barcelona.

And, rather than holding a semi-final draw on the back of the upcoming quarter-final ties, which will take place next month, UEFA have also confirmed who each of the remaining 8 Champions League clubs will face, if they do advance to the competition’s final-4.

The winner of the tie between Juventus and Ajax will face the advancing side from the draw between Manchester City and Tottenham.

As such, either Barcelona or Manchester United will take on the winners of Liverpool and Porto.
