Ruto Claims Raila Wants Women to Worship Him

Deputy President has has vowed not to relent in his criticism against Raila Odinga over Aisha Jumwa’s expulsion from the Orange Democratic Party.

Jumwa was ousted from the party on March 1 but was offered a lifeline by the party leader, Raila Odinga should she apologize like Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori.

“If a child asks to be pardoned you forgive them. Recently in our party, Suleiman Dori begged for forgiveness and we pardoned him… If Aisha Jumwa also pleads for forgiveness, we shall reconsider her fate,” he said.

The legislator later that day rejected the Africa Union envoy’s offer noting that the ouster process was flawed.

According to the DP, Odinga is deceiving the Kenyan people into thinking that he is a women’s champion when really he wants to “blackmail her to kneel and worship you as an ‘apology’.”

“You who’ve masqueraded as champions of women, now in your true colours expel a woman elected in her own right after defeating men and blackmail her to kneel and worship you as an ‘apology’,” he said in a tweet.

Her only crime, he denotes is associating herself with the “elected DP of GoK you have ‘handshake’ with. Tragically deceitful.”

Ruto and Odinga have been tearing at each other in the recent past after with the contentious Sh21 billion dams saga.

The hustler on his part told the people that only Sh7 billion is unaccounted for. In a quick rejoinder, the former prime minister asked the DP to allow investigators to determine the exact amount of money lost.

“Keep quiet and let the investigating agencies do their work without politicising the matter. Sh7b is not pocket change! Sio pesa ya kununua mandazi,” he said.

Jumwa has however moved to court to challenge her expulsion, which could see her lose her parliamentary seat.

A Nairobi court has extended orders barring her expulsion from ODM until May 7, 2019 when her case will be heard.
