Deputy President William Ruto has launched fresh attacks on Raila Odinga and the ODM Party for the manner with which they have treated embattled Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Ruto, like a man breathing fire has viciously condemned the ODM Party’s decision to expell Aisha Jumwa for her closeness with him (Ruto).
Aisha Jumwa and Msambweni MP Sulieman Dori had declared their support for DP William Ruto for the Presidency heading into 2022.
Their decision to tow a different path from other Party members led the ODM Party to Crack the whip on them.
Dori would later apologize to survive the axe while Aisha Jumwa was shown the door for going against the Party’s code of conduct.
Friday saw Ruto take to twitter to voice his displeasure with the ODM Party’s decision.
Ruto has accused the ODM Party and Raila Odinga of double speak and hypocrisy in the manner they handled Jumwa’s matter.
“You who’ve masqueraded as a champion of women, now in your true colours expel a woman elected in her own right after defeating men and blackmail her to kneel and worship you as an “apology.” Crime? associating with elected DP of the GoK you have “handshake” with. Tragically deceitful,” Said Ruto.
Ruto’s latest remarks is definately going to create another political storm and with the weekend in sight, we should expect a busy political weekend.
