Moses Kuria jumps on Ruto’s band wagon on Dam scandal

Gatundu South Member of Parliament has jumped on Deputy President’s side on the on-going probe of the alleged siphoning of 21 Billion Dam Money.

Kuria has added his voice in the heated debated by siding with his fellow legislators from the Rift valley stating that Kenya has laws that allow for advance payments be made to the contractors before land is secured and acquired.

“We have laws in our statutes that allow for contractors to be paid advance payments before land is secured and acquired,” he tweeted.

The legislator who seemingly fell out with the Jubilee Party leadership added that the laws which are supreme and guide of any state allow for advance payments without designs.

“We have laws that allow for advance payments without designs,” he added.

Kuria challenged the investigating agencies and lawmakers yapping over the contract awarded to the firm for the construction of Arror and Kimwarer dams, to face the laws in place instead of using the fight against corruption wrongly targeting individuals.

“Instead of facing those laws we go yapping we are fighting corruption. Tell it to the birds,” he reiterated.

The dams scandal has ever since witnessed Cabinet Secretaries facing the investigating agencies to shed light on the contract award and payments.

Among the CS who have faced the DCI detectives are Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and Treasury CS Henry Rotich.
