Liverpool Reveal Teams They Fear Being Paired With in The Champions League

James Milner admitted he would prefer Liverpool were not drawn against any of the other English sides left in the Champions League.

The draw for the quarter final takes place in Switzerland on Friday morning and there are four English teams in the last eight for the first time in 10 years.

Juventus, Barcelona, Ajax and Porto make up the rest of the draw and Milner, who started for Jurgen Klopp‘s side in their 3-1 win away at Bayern Munich to book their place in the last eight, admitted they would rather not draw another Premier League side.

“It is good for English football,” he told BT Sport. “ That’s what you want. I don’t think we want to play each other in the next round but we’ll see who we get.

“It’s going to be interesting, there are a lot of good teams left. We have good feelings from last year so hopefully we can carry that on and go as far as we can.”

City played Liverpool in the Champions League in the quarter final last season with the Merseyside team coming out on top 5-1 over two legs while United have never faced Liverpool in the Champions League.

United have faced Liverpool in Europe but it was in the Europa League in 2016 and Liverpool won 3-1 on aggregate.

The draw takes place at 11am in Switzerland and the draw for the semi final will take place straight after.
