Kenyans Turn the Karura Forest Giant Python Saga Political

It is never a dull moment in Kenya.

Kenyans have gone abuzz online after the Chairman of Friends of Karura Forest Professor Karanja Njoroge urged Karura joggers to leave alone an adult African Rock Python which was spotted on the forest.

The jogger spotted the nonvenomous reptile on Wednesday as it slithered near Junction 41 in the forest.

The photo sent shivers to many joggers who were concerned of their safety in the forest.

He had this to say; “The snakes won’t attack unless totally cornered. It is completely harmless to humans greater than 20kg in weight,” said Prof Karanja.

In another Facebook post, Friends of Karura said there is no need for joggers or bikers to worry.

Kenyans have hilariously turned these political whereby hey claim that the snake is a sign of preventing Kenyans visit the Karura DCI Offices.

Earlier President Kenyatta had urged anyone with any evidence against his graft cases to report to Karura DCI offices.

Karura Forest is located off Limuru Road and is managed by the Kenya Forest Service in conjunction with the Friends of Karura Forest Community Forest Association.
