Kenya-Madagascar relations to focus on boosting trade and commerce

Kenya and Madagascar have directed their focus on boosting trade and commerce among other common interests.

The two countries have also expressed their commitment in working together in achieving their common goals.

This comes after President Kenyatta hosted, the President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E. Andry Rajoelina at State House, Nairobi.

During their discussions, President Kenyatta and President Rajoelina spoke of the need to enhance trade and commerce between Kenya and Madagascar and how to leverage Africa’s strength to foster for environmental conservation globally.

The First Lady Margaret Kenyatta also hosted the First Lady of Madagascar, H.E. Mialy Rajoelina.

The two First Ladies discussed matters of mutual interest among them women empowerment, health, unemployment, gender issues, environmental conservation, family and agriculture.

This exchange of notes will go a long way in ensuring that the two countries work closely to ensure that they fuel initiatives that will direct the nations to a positive trajectory.
