Kenya commits to strengthening co-operation with Sri Lanka

President Kenyatta has today hosted the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, H.E. Maithripala Sirisena at State House, Nairobi

During their meeting, President Kenyatta and President Maithripala expressed the need for Kenya and Sri Lanka to strengthen their co-operation for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries in a wide range of areas including tourism and agriculture.

The President has been keen to spur positive relations with other countries with the intention of joining forces in spirit of achieving Kenya’s vision of a better and transformed nation.

In a separate meeting,  President Kenyatta hosted, the President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E. Andry Rajoelina at State House, Nairobi.

During their discussions, President Kenyatta and President Rajoelina spoke of the need to enhance trade and commerce between Kenya and Madagascar and how to leverage Africa’s strength to foster for environmental conservation globally.

This exchange of notes will go a long way in ensuring that the two countries work closely to ensure that they fuel initiatives that will direct the nations to a positive trajectory.
